Client Services Scheduler
Full time, Nonexempt. Reports to Director of Client Services.
Summary
The client services scheduler provides essential client services scheduling and phone answering functions. This includes pregnancy, family support, and STI appointments. Manages schedule, builds and ensures appointment slots are covered. Provides initial follow-up confirmations. Job responsibilities are executed in support of the organization’s pro-life mission and vision and its Christian core beliefs and core operational values.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answers phone calls, texts and emails requesting appointments
- Schedules different appointment types appropriately into all databases and programs
- Manages clinic appointment schedule
- Reschedules appointments as directed by office staff
- Maintains daily report of caller logs
- Monitor client arrival
- Manages resource binder
- General office duties and support of patient advocate staff
Requirements
- Customer service experience
- General computer skills, Excel knowledge a plus
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle scheduling in an accurate and timely manner
- Good interpersonal skills. Works cooperatively and professionally with staff, volunteers and patients.
- Good judgement
- Ability and willingness to demonstrate commitment to the organization’s mission, vision, core operational values, and core beliefs in the execution of position responsibilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Educational Programs Instructor
Part-Time Contractual: Hourly with mileage reimbursement (Up to 50 hours/month on average; up to 35 weeks/year). Reports to Director of Educational Programs.
Position Objective
The Educational Programs Instructor is responsible for teaching middle and high school students essential life skills surrounding relationships and risk behaviors, empowering students to avoid sexual risk. The Instructor also provides educational programming to new parents at Morning Star’s clinic location(s).
Primary Functions
Programming will be provided in-person to schools, youth organizations, and other at-risk youth populations in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties; occasional service to neighboring counties may be requested.
Training and mentoring in the (published) REAL Essentials curriculum will be provided.
Job Responsibilities
- Instruction Excellence: Prepare lesson plans and notes. Deliver dynamic, interactive, and informative instruction to students on topics related to life skills, healthy relationships, and the avoidance of risky behaviors using the REAL Essentials curriculum.
- Facilitate weekly, one hour instruction on parenting and relationship skills to client groups at Morning Star clinic location(s)
- Technology Integration: Utilize technology to enhance the classroom experience. The use of PowerPoint is required.
- Audience Engagement: Connect with students of diverse backgrounds and age groups, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Feedback and Assessment: Gather feedback from staff and students.
- Adaptability: Tailor lessons as necessary to address the specific needs of the groups served.
- Professional Development and Learning: Participate in educational opportunities, workshops, seminars, conferences, curriculum updates, and community events, to learn new skills, stay current on industry trends, and gain new perspectives, as well as to improve lesson content and enhance the skill sets necessary for this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Teaching experience with middle and high school students in group settings with references provided.
- Excellent oral and technological skills.
- Excellent organization and adaptability in the classroom.
- Dependable and capable of following through on commitments.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Willingness and ability to demonstrate commitment to Morning Star’s mission and core values.
Physical Demands
This is an active teaching position. It requires moving classroom supplies and equipment and some climbing of stairs. The ability to lift and carry 25 pounds is expected.
