“Will you pray for me?”
They are just five short words, but it’s hard to imagine a request more powerful. At Morning Star, every day we see the difference your prayers make as you lift up the moms and families who come to us in need. You may not know their names, but your commitment has an incredible impact.
Because of your prayers and your financial investment, Morning Star is reaching more moms at risk for abortion, providing them with Life-affirming options. And we are walking alongside more moms and families through their parenting journey with classes and family support, including essential baby supplies. In fact, by August 19 of this year, we had already provided more baby items to families in need than in all of 2025!
Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your help. By the end of this year, we need to raise $170,000 so that we can continue to reach more moms in need, provide them Life-affirming alternatives to abortion, and share the love of Christ as we support them during and after their pregnancies.
But first, let me tell you about Nevaeh.
Nevaeh* was a sophomore in high school and she was terrified.
She was ashamed to be pregnant.
She felt alone.
When she came to Morning Star and met with one of our patient advocates, Nevaeh explained that she had no one to talk to about the pregnancy. She couldn’t tell her dad because she was sure that he would disown her. She was scared to tell her mom because she was convinced her mom wouldn’t support her. She didn’t want to tell her boyfriend because they were always fighting and had just broken up. Nevaeh couldn’t even find comfort in turning to the Lord: She said that she was probably going to have an abortion, and she was afraid that God would condemn her for it.
Then Nevaeh asked for prayer.
And when we pray, the power of God changes minds and transforms hearts.
At her first appointment at Morning Star, Nevaeh learned that abortion wasn’t her only option. She received information on the resources available to her if she chose adoption or parenting, that she didn’t have to do it alone. She was given the opportunity to see her baby on an ultrasound. Most importantly, Nevaeh received hope.
When she returned to Morning Star for her follow-up appointment, Nevaeh shared that she was still undecided. She had spoken to her parents and, while she thought her mom might come around, her dad was not supportive of her having the baby. At her third appointment, Nevaeh shared that she had chosen Life. It wouldn’t be easy, but she had a cousin who would step in to help her.
Because of your prayers and financial investment, Nevaeh received the pregnancy medical services that allowed her to choose Life. But your impact – and our mission – don’t end there. Morning Star’s medical team helped Nevaeh transition to prenatal care. Nevaeh participated in Morning Star’s parenting classes and received a free pack ‘n play for her baby. As her due date approached, your generosity allowed us to provide her with a newborn layette packed with baby essentials to support her during the first weeks after her little one’s birth. Now, we continue to walk alongside her through our family support program with information, referrals to outside organizations, and baby supplies.
Shortly before the birth of her baby, Nevaeh shared that she was excited and still a little bit scared, but most of all at peace with her decision to keep her baby.
Through our intensive digital marketing strategy, we are reaching more moms like Nevaeh. As of September 30 of this year, Morning Star has seen 468 women at risk for abortion – a nearly 10% increase over this time last year. And the number of moms and families who have received baby supplies such as clothing, formula, and diapers has increased 26%!
We are blessed to be able to help so many moms in our own community, but we cannot sustain and increase this growth without you. In order to reach these at-risk moms, we need to raise $170,000 by December 31. This budget goal will allow Morning Star to be there every time a scared mom like Nevaeh reaches out to us for help.

- Your gift of $4,408 will cover the cost of one month of digital marketing, so that girls like Nevaeh will find Life-affirming options when they are searching online for abortion information and pregnancy help.
- Your gift of $655.37 will allow Morning Star to provide all our Life-affirming services to one mom, including pregnancy medical services to empower her to choose Life and ongoing support during and after pregnancy.
- Your gift of $120 will support a mom with a newborn layette or other assistance as she navigates the transition to motherhood.
